BSP Supremo and four-time Chief Minister Mayawati will not contest the Assembly election in Uttar Pradesh this time.
Her right hand man and BSP General Secretary Satish Mishra will also stay away from the electoral battle in Uttar Pradesh, which is scheduled to begin on February 10.
Despite this, Mishra claimed that the BSP would return to power in the state. Ridiculing the Samajwadi’s Party’s claim that it would win 400 seats in the state, Mishra said it was indeed a strange statement to make when the party did not have 400 candidates in the fray.
He asserted that neither the SP nor the BJP would come into power in the state, but rather it would be the BSP that would reign supreme and form the government.
