Dharamshala: At first glance, Shivali Rajput’s graceful demeanor might give no hint of the powerhouse she truly is. A mother of two, married for seven years, Shivali stands as the strongest woman in Himachal Pradesh — a title she has clinched four times since 2013. This accolade, however, is just one facet of her inspiring journey.
Shivali’s story is one of sheer determination and resilience. Hailing from the picturesque yet remote district of Chamba, she has defied numerous odds to carve out her niche. As a Level-1 weightlifting coach, a brown belt in karate, and the proud owner of Iron Paradise Gym, she embodies strength and perseverance.
In her debut video interview with The Newz Radar, conducted during the Shining Star Awards 2024 at Durbar Hall in Chamba, Shivali shared the secrets behind her impressive achievements.
A staunch advocate of vegetarianism, she credits her plant-based diet for her strength and vitality. Her daily meals are a testament to her commitment to health, featuring an array of nutritious foods like sprouts, seeds, multigrain oats, ragi, peanut butter, brown rice, paneer, soya chunks, mushrooms, tofu, peas, boiled mixed vegetables, milk, and fresh fruits.
Shivali’s advocacy for vegetarianism is more than just personal preference; it’s a lifestyle choice she passionately promotes. “I prefer vegetarian diets only,” she affirms, radiating a blend of beauty and strength that captivates and inspires.
Her support system includes her husband, Bhupinder Thakur, who works in the education department, and her mother, whose encouragement was pivotal in shaping Shivali’s career. “My mother inspired me to become whatever I wanted,” she reflects, acknowledging the roots of her formidable journey.
Shivali’s achievements extend beyond the gym. She is associated with the Weightlifting Federation of India and a national champion in tug of war. Her name is synonymous with excellence in weightlifting in Himachal Pradesh, where she holds a record.
Married in her 20s, Shivali’s journey is a beacon of hope and inspiration for many. She has risen from one of India’s most backward districts to become a symbol of empowerment and success. Her story resonates deeply with those who dare to dream and work tirelessly to turn those dreams into reality.
In Shivali Rajput, Himachal Pradesh doesn’t just see a strong woman only; it sees a trailblazer, a mentor, and an advocate for a healthier, compassionate lifestyle. Her life and accomplishments remind us that with determination and the right support, the sky’s the limit.
