One function and two chief guests! A comedy of errors led to chaos when two chief guests arrived to inaugurate the under-14 sports competition at Himgiri Government Senior Secondary School, Churah in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
The confusion and lack of communication between the school management committee and the school principal witnessed the arrival of Churah MLA and former assembly deputy speaker Hansraj as the chief guest. The MLA was invited by the school management committee.
The school principal, on the other hand, invited Congress leader Yashwant Singh Khanna as the chief guest.
The subsequent chaos and raising of slogans by the rival political groups but natural. Not just slogan raising, there was a fierce debate between the supporters of both leaders as to who was the “legitimate” chief guest.
For a long time, the round of accusations and counter-accusations continued. Finally, amid the high-voltage drama, Churah MLA got angry and left the venue in a huff along with his supporters.
