Unsafe strech on highway
This accident is the latest in a series of dangerous incidents along the stretch of the Chandigarh-Manali Highway between Four Mile and Nine Mile, a section notorious for falling boulders. Such incidents have previously resulted in injuries and fatalities, raising serious concerns about the safety measures—or lack thereof—implemented by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and the construction companies responsible for the ongoing four-lane expansion project.
