Shimla: After being removed from her post as Sandhol Tehsildar, popular Himachal Pradesh Administrative Services (HAS) officer Oshin Sharma has sparked curiosity with a cryptic post on her Facebook page.
Oshin, currently awaiting her next assignment, shared a thought-provoking message that read, “संघर्षशील स्वतंत्रता ग़ुलामी से कहीं बेहतर है (Freedom of struggle is better than slavery),” leaving many speculating about the underlying meaning behind her words.
The timing of the post has raised eyebrows, especially in light of the recent administrative reshuffle in the state. While Oshin did not directly comment on her removal or future plans, her message has been interpreted by some as a subtle expression of her dissatisfaction with the current circumstances.
Oshin, who gained a massive social media following for her motivational videos and insights into civil service preparation, has found herself in the midst of controversy.
Working as the Tehsildar of Sandhol, she was recently transferred without a new posting, raising questions about whether her outspoken online presence has contributed to the decision.
The transfer follows reported dissatisfaction from the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Mandi, who was allegedly unhappy with her performance, citing delays in her work. This prompted the Dharampur SDM to issue a notice to Oshin Sharma, and within a day of receiving the notice, she was instructed to report to the Department of Personnel in Shimla. Since then, Oshin Sharma, known for her regular and motivational content on social media platforms, has gone a bit silent.
