Thunderstorms accompanied by heavy winds and rains are expected to hit Himachal Pradesh during the next four days.
Yellow alert sounded
The meteorological department has sounded a yellow alert across Una, Hamirpur, Bilaspur, Chamba, Kangra, Kullu, Mandi, Solan, Shimla, and Sirmaur districts. The weather department has also warned of landslides on account of continuous and heavy rains.
Heavy rains likely till Sept 1
Heavy rains are expected to lash the state till September 1. Flat terrains and semi-hilly areas are likely to experience very heavy rainfall on August 27-28. Thunderstorms and heavy winds are expected on August 29-30 in these areas, the weather department alerted.
