The Himachal Pradesh School Education Board has declared the results of Teachers Eligibility Test (TET). Just 15.08 per cent of the candidates who appeared for the TET have managed to pass in all eight subjects.
Board president Dr Suresh Kumar Soni informed that there were 48,424 applicants out of which 43,202 appeared for the test. 5219 candidates were absent and 6516 candidates cleared the test. 9103 candidates had applied for junior basic teacher (JBT) TET, out of which 8065 candidates appeared for the test. The pass percentage was 18.79.
Applicants for language teachers
The number of applicants for language teachers (LT) was 5003 and 4521 candidates appeared for the test, out of which 1189 passed. The pass percentage was 26.3.
There were 17764 applicants for the TGT arts test. Out of the 15745 applicants who appeared for the test, 1178 passed. The pass percentage was 7.48.
In the TGT medical test, out of 6168 applications, 5559 appeared for the test and 619 passed. The pass percentage was 11.14.
Applicants for Punjabi language test
There were 226 applicants for the Punjabi language test, out of which 182 appeared for the test and 44 remained absent and 68 candidates passed. Pass percentage was 37.36.
There were 24 applicants for the Urdu TET, out of which 10 appeared for the test and 3 passed. Three candidates were caught copying during the Teachers eligibility test.
