SpaceX shares video of Earth as seen from spacecraft carrying 1st all-civilian crew

SpaceX shared a video showing the Earth’s view from the dome of Dragon spacecraft, which took an all-civilian crew for a three-day space trip on Thursday. Within three hours, the capsule reached an orbital altitude of over 585 km. This is the farthest any human has flown from Earth since NASA’s Apollo moon programme ended in 1972, according to SpaceX.

Google’s 6,200-km undersea cable linking US, UK & Spain reaches UK

Google’s over 6,200-kilometre-long undersea cable ‘Grace Hopper’, that will run between the US, the UK and Spain, has landed in Bude, Cornwall. Google said it is one of the first undersea cables to connect the US and UK since 2003. Once operational, the cable would have the capacity to handle “17.5 million people streaming 4K video concurrently”, Google claims.

SpaceX launches the world’s first all-civilian crew for a 3-day space trip

Elon Musk-led SpaceX launched the world’s first all-civilian human spaceflight to orbit Earth aboard the Dragon spacecraft launched from Falcon 9 rocket. The ‘Inspiration 4’ mission crew includes billionaire Jared Isaacman, professor Sian Proctor, cancer survivor Hayley Arceneaux and American veteran Christopher Sembroski. They’ll spend around three days in space during the trip funded by Isaacman.

Cancer survivor Hayley becomes youngest American in space with SpaceX’s launch

Hayley Arceneaux, a 29-year-old childhood bone cancer survivor, has become the youngest American in space after SpaceX launched the world’s first all-civilian human spaceflight into Earth’s orbit. She is also the first person in space with a prosthesis, a titanium rod in her left leg. Arceneaux currently works as a physician assistant at Tennessee’s St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The features coming to iPad iOS 15 and iOS 15 will include a notification filtering feature called ‘Focus’ and a notification summary feature that will allow users to see a summary of their notifications sorted by priority. Apple released iPhone 13 series on September 14.
