Taxi at Your Doorstep with a Click: Kangra Youth Develops Pan Car App
Dharamshala: The convenience of booking a taxi with just a click has arrived in Kangra district, thanks to the Pan Car App, developed by local youth. The app was officially launched on Friday at Kunal Hotel, Dharamshala, by RS Bali, Chairman of the Tourism Corporation and Cabinet-rank Minister.
Bali highlighted that the Pan Car App, created by the talented youth of Kangra, allows consumers to book taxi services directly from their homes, eliminating the need to visit taxi stands and saving valuable time. He praised the Kangra youth team for their efforts, noting that the proper use of technology can pave the way for self-employment opportunities.
Bali emphasized that the state government is committed to integrating modern technology across all departments to enhance public convenience. He added that the government is working towards providing all necessary services to the public through digital platforms in light of ongoing technological advancements.
Bali also announced the development of an online platform named “Him-Access,” designed to ensure easy access to all social security services provided by the state government.
He explained that the Him-Access platform will consolidate various departmental applications into a single platform, making services more accessible to state residents and government officials. Additionally, he noted that 261 services currently available through the e-District portal will also be integrated into the Him-Access platform.
Earlier, Pan Car App Coordinator Balvinder welcomed the chief guest and mentioned that the app will provide consumers with all relevant information, including details about drivers, to enhance passenger safety. The launch event was attended by Mayor Neenu Sharma, former Mayor Jagdev Jaggi, Chaudhary Harbhajan, and several other dignitaries.
