Shimla: The Supreme Court dismissed the Himachal High Court order to transfer Himachal DGP Sanjay Kundu.
An SC bench comprising Chief Justice of India D Y Chandrachud, Justice J B Pardiwala, and Justice Manoj Mishra heard Kundu’s application seeking quashing of the HC order to transfer him in the businessman Nishant Sharma case on Friday.
The apex court bench did not order any stay on the Himachal HC direction on the formation of a special investigation team (SIT) to investigate the allegations of the businessman. The SIT has to submit its report before the HC by February 29, 2024.
