DHARAMSHALA: Himachal Congress MLAs Sudhir Sharma and Rajinder Rana, both of whom were in the race for cabinet berths after the Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu government was formed in December 2022, were seen seated alongside in the corner of the front row on the dais at the party’s rally in Dharamshala on Monday (December 11, 2023).
While Sudhir Sharma is an MLA from Dharamshala, Rajinder Rana represent Sujanpur seat in Hamirpur. Kuldeep Rathore, the former Himachal Congress president who is an MLA from Theog in Shimla district, was given the corner seat on the other side of the row.
All the three leaders are prominent faces of the party. Several people were even seen raising slogans in support of their leaders. The seating arrangements remained a hot topic of discussion among those who had gathered for the rally.
Journalists and political analysts were keeping an eye on every moment during the rally as there was a word around that fissures may take center-stage during the rally.
Most of the leaders who are in power were given seats in the front row. Cabinet ministers and leaders with cabinet ranks were given prominent seats. Two young leaders of the party, Vikramaditya Singh and RS Bali, were given adjoining seats. Prominent female leaders Asha Kumari and Viplove Thakur were seen sitting alongside.
