State-Level Festival Begins with Traditional Worship

Arki, Himachal Pradesh – Today, Sanjay Avasthi, Chief Parliamentary Secretary (Public Works, Health & Family Welfare, and Information & Public Relations Departments), inaugurated a three-day state-level festival, “Saiyotsav,” at the ancient Maa Kali Temple in Arki, accompanied by traditional rituals and worship.

During the auspicious occasion, Mr. Avasthi performed traditional rituals, seeking the well-being and prosperity of the people of the state. He also offered prayers for Himachal Pradesh’s protection from natural calamities.

Addressing the gathering in Arki, the Chief Parliamentary Secretary extended his best wishes to the attendees of the Saiyotsav fair. He emphasized that Saiyotsav, including other festivals, symbolizes the faith of the people of Himachal Pradesh and inspires continuous progress.

Mr. Avasthi highlighted the importance of educating the younger generation about these traditions, stating that Arki’s Saiyotsav has a rich history, with its first celebration dating back 380 years. He expressed pride that this tradition continues to this day.

He also praised the dynamic leadership of Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, who is dedicated to ensuring balanced development throughout the region. Significant decisions have been made to improve public facilities in various sectors in the Arki constituency. Plans are underway to invest approximately 200 crore rupees to develop the renowned site of Baridhar for tourism and other purposes.

Additionally, Mr. Avasthi announced the installation of a modern ultrasound machine at the Arki Civil Hospital, with an estimated cost of 54 lakhs rupees, to enhance healthcare facilities. He assured that vacant medical positions would be filled promptly.

He concluded by reaffirming his commitment to the planned development of the Arki Assembly constituency, stating that every possible effort is being made to achieve this goal.

Arki Sub-Divisional Magistrate Yadwinder Pal welcomed the chief guest, and an overview of the fair’s schedule was presented.

The event was attended by Satish Kashyap, President of the Kangra Congress Committee, Hemendra Gupta, President of the Arki Municipal Council, council members, Hemant Verma, Executive President of the Arki Youth Congress, Seema Sharma, former Municipal Council President, along with other dignitaries and a large number of attendees.
