India all-out for 78 runs, England stand strong at 120/0 at end of day 1 of 3rd test match

England ended Day 1 of the Leeds Test at 120/0, leading India by 42 runs. England openers Rory Burns and Haseeb Hameed are unbeaten on 52* and 60* respectively. Earlier in the day, India were bowled out for 78 runs in their first innings. It is India’s third-lowest total in England in Test cricket.

Indian table tennis star G Sathiyan wins ITTF Czech International Open Men’s Singles title

Sathiyan Gnanasekaran beat Ukraine’s Yevhen Pryshchepa in the ITTF Czech International Open final to win the men’s singles title. The top-seeded Indian, ranked 39 in the world, beat Yevhen Pryshchepa of Ukraine11-0, 11-6, 11-6, 14-12 in the final. Last week, the 28-year-old had paired up with compatriot Manika Batra to win the mixed doubles title at the WTT Contender in Budapest as well.
