A massive brawl broke out during a Ligue 1 match between Nice and Marseille after Marseille’s Dimitri Payet threw a bottle back into the crowd after being hit by it. The fans stormed the pitch and a mass brawl broke out between players, fans and staff. Riot police had to be deployed in front of tier packed with Nice fans.

Juventus forward Cristiano Ronaldo was shown a yellow card by the referee for celebrating his goal by taking off his shirt against Udinese. Ronaldo had scored Juventus’ winner in the injury time. However, the goal was disallowed after the VAR ruled it to be offside. The Serie A match ended in a 2-2 draw.

England pacer Mark Wood has been ruled out of the third Test against India due to “a jarred right shoulder”. Wood picked up the injury on the fourth day of the Lord’s Test, said England Cricket Board (ECB). Earlier, Stuart Broad had also been ruled out of the 5 match test series as he injured himself after the first test.
