These players include world no. 1 test bowler Pat Cummins, Rajasthan Royals wicketkeeper-
batsman Jos Buttler and fast bowler Jofra Archer. RCB’s Daniel Sams, Finn Allen, Adam
Zampa and Kane Richardson, Punjab Kings’ Riley Meredith and Jhye Richardson as well.  Second leg of IPL 2021 is scheduled to start on September 19 in UAE.

The inaugural edition of the tournament was won by Southern Brave as they beat
Birmingham Phoenix in men’s final at Lords. Michael Vaughan said that the tournament was a “huge success”. “You may have wanted it to fail. but it didn’t…The Hundred was a huge success and will only get bigger and better.”

World no. 2 tennis player Medvedev crashes into TV camera during match

Russian tennis player, Daniil Medvedev crashed into the TV camera during a rally during his Western & Southern Open semi-final match against Andrey Rublev. Medvedev then kicked the lens before complaining to the chair umpire that he could have broken his hand. He angrily asked the chair umpire to take the camera away.

It’ll take a superhuman effort from England to come back vs India: Sunil Gavaskar

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar has said that it will take a “superhuman” effort from England to come back in the five-Test series against India. “India has dealt a psychological blow to England…things can turn around quite dramatically but for that to happen it will take a miracle.” The third test match will begin on August 25 in Headingley.

India’s Shaili Singh wins silver in women’s long jump at U20 World Athletics Championships in Nairobi

17-year-old Shaili Singh won the silver in women’s long jump in Nairobi. She missed the gold medal by 1 cm after coming up with a new U20 national record of 6.59m. She trains at the Anju Bobby George Academy in Bengaluru. 18-year-old Maja Askag of Sweden won the gold
medal in the event.
