At the historic grounds of Shimla, a special program was organized within the church premises. For the first time, a traditional mountain dance called “Pahadi Nati” was showcased, featuring local girls dressed in Himachali attire, adding a cultural touch to the Christmas festivities inside Christ Church. Following the dance, carols were sung inside the church, reflecting on the birth of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for humanity.
Christ Church was adorned with special decorations, illuminated with flowers and various lights, creating a festive ambiance both inside and outside the church. The special program saw the participation of not only locals but also a significant number of tourists who joined in the celebrations.
The event marked a unique blend of cultural traditions and religious significance, making Christmas in Shimla a memorable and inclusive celebration for all.
