A Volvo bus collided with a truck on the Chandigarh-Manali National Highway at Jadol in Sundernagar sub-division of Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi district on Saturday (April 20, 2024) morning while attempting to avoid hitting a bull.
The accident resulted in injuries to six tourists aboard the Volvo, as well as both the Volvo and truck drivers. The injured persons received medical treatment at the local Civil Hospital. An FIR has been filed regarding the accident at the Sundernagar police station and an investigation has been initiated.
According to reports, the Volvo bus, en route from Delhi to Manali, encountered the bull on the road around 6 am. Attempting to avoid hitting the animal, the bus lost control at high speed and collided with a truck heading towards Bilaspur. Upon receiving news of the accident, local residents rushed to the scene and transported the injured to the Sundernagar Civil Hospital for treatment.
A team from the Dahar police post, operating under the jurisdiction of Sundernagar police station, arrived at the accident site promptly and commenced an investigation.
