Dharamshala: Shashi Band, hailing from Chamunda, clinched victory in the brass band competition organized as part of the Dharamshala Spring Carnival. The brass band competition, a unique initiative proposed by social activist Vijay Kumar, showcased the talents of local bands performing before a live audience.
Dheeraj Sharma, one of the main organizers, highlighted the diverse repertoire of local and traditional instrumental songs presented by the participating bands. The competition featured a total of five bands, each contributing to the vibrant musical atmosphere.
During the final round, three outstanding bands took the stage: Ashu Band from Sulah, Ajay from Nagrota, and the victorious Shashi Band from Chamunda.
The event emerged as a major highlight of the carnival, providing a significant platform for local bands that typically perform at weddings and other functions. The Dharamshala Carnival offered these talented bands a stage to showcase their exceptional musical prowess.
