The sacred Mata Chintpurni Temple, renowned in North India for its spiritual significance, commenced the Sharadiya Navratri Festival.
On the very first day of Navratri, not only from the country but also from abroad, hundreds of devotees thronged the divine abode of Mata Chintpurni to seek the blessings of the deity.
As part of the festivities, the temple premises were adorned with vibrant and colorful flowers, enhancing the temple’s already exquisite beauty. To facilitate devotees, the administration had made ample arrangements for their convenience. The entire fair area was divided into sectors, each supervised by a fair magistrate and a police officer.
Devotees were allowed to enter the temple with their darshan tokens, while coconut offerings were restricted as a security measure.
Prayers during Navratri were not just a religious ritual but were also observed for spiritual and mental strength.
Devotees fasted during these nine days as a symbol of devotion.
The temple priest, Sandeep Kalia, expressed that Navratri involved the worship of nine goddesses and was observed for spiritual and mental empowerment.
He added that devotees believed that during Navratri, Mata Chintpurni alleviated the concerns of all her devotees and fulfilled their wishes.
This Navratri festival continued at the Chintpurni Temple until October 23rd.
As devotees arrived to seek the blessings of Mata Chintpurni on the first day of Navratri, they conveyed that they believed the goddess had the power to remove their worries and fulfill their desires.
