The Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) witnessed a demonstration by the Students’ Federation of India (SFI) against the administration’s decision to expel 12 students following the violent incident on November 20. The SFI alleges that the administration’s action was one-sided, ignoring the fact that some outsiders, armed with weapons, attacked their comrades. Despite this, the administration chose to expel only the 12 SFI students without considering their side of the story.
Expressing dissatisfaction, Santosh, the Secretary of SFI at HPU campus, warned that if the administration does not revoke the expulsion of their students, the protest will intensify in the coming days. Additionally, he mentioned plans for demonstrations outside the residence of the Dean of Studies at HPU. The SFI insists on a fair investigation and calls for the reinstatement of their expelled members, emphasizing the need for a balanced approach by the university administration.
