Scientists obtained detailed observations of the oldest stars in the Milky Way’s centre and found that despite their chaotic formation, these stars rotate slowly around the galactic centre. These ancient stars were born shortly after the Big Bang. With a pristine chemical composition of mostly hydrogen and helium, they differ from younger stars like the sun, making them easily identifiable.
