Seventeen industrial units will be set up in the district of Una. MoUs in this regard were signed between the industries department and industrialists in the presence of the director of the industries department, Rakesh Kumar Prajapati. According to Prajapati, these units would bring in an investment of Rs 427.35 crores in Una and provide employment opportunities to 1723 youth.
Discussion with representatives of industry associations
Prajapati also discussed various points with representatives of industry associations of Mehatpur, Haroli, Amb, Gagret and Jeetpur. He added that the groundbreaking ceremony of the second phase is expected to be held in the month of October when an MoU of Rs 15,000 crore is likely to be signed.
ESIC hospital to be set up in Una
Prajapati said that the inspection of land banks is also being done by the industries department at various places so that sufficient land is available for setting up industries. He expressed the hope that a Bulk Drug Park project would soon come up in Una district for which an investment of about Rs 10,000 crores would be made. An ESIC hospital would also be opened in the district, he said.
