Rs 300 crore allocated for education reform in Himachal: MLA Pathania

The Newz Radar

Dharamshala: In a bid to enhance the quality of education, Rs 300 crore will be spent on educational reforms, announced MLA Keval Singh Pathania. The state government plans to open Rajiv Gandhi day-boarding schools in every assembly constituency, aiming for comprehensive development of students.

Pathania announced the introduction of an English medium curriculum from the next academic session in government schools, starting from the first grade. This initiative aims to reduce stress for young learners.

Taking a swipe at BJP leaders questioning the Congress government, Pathania challenged them to disclose their achievements over the past five years. He asserted that the Congress government would deposit Rs 30 crore, but accused the opposition of deflecting attention.

Highlighting the Yashwant Singh Paramar Student Loan Scheme, Pathania stated that students could avail themselves of loans up to Rs 20 lakhs at one percent interest for higher education. The competition will conclude on February 7, with students from ten districts participating. Prominent figures, including Sumana Dheeman, Sanjeevan Katoch, Dr. Sanjay, Dr. Anjali Sharma, and others, attended the cultural meet inauguration at Dharamshala College’s auditorium.
