MANDI: The Rotary Club of Choti Kashi-Mandi organised a tree plantation programme to mark the 78th Independence Day. Themed “A Tree in the Name of a Martyr”, the event saw active participation from club members and the local forest department.

Over 50 saplings, including a variety of medicinal plants, were planted in two designated areas near Mandi — one near Nasloh village and the other within the premises of Takshila School. The initiative aimed to honour the sacrifices made by the nation’s heroes by fostering life through nature.
