As heavy rainfall continues to lash Himachal Pradesh, authorities have issued warnings about the rising flood risks in several districts. The Meteorological Center in Shimla has indicated that parts of Sirmaur, Kangra, Chamba, Solan, Kullu, Shimla, and Mandi could face moderate flooding, particularly in low-lying areas and water catchments.
The intense rainfall has already resulted in substantial accumulation, with notable measurements including 275 mm in Dhaula Kuan and 134 mm in Guler. With the ground saturated, the potential for flooding increases, prompting officials to issue advisories for residents in vulnerable areas.
