Dharamshala: Former Industry Minister and BJP MLA from Jaswan-Pragpur, Vikram Singh Thakur, has demanded that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu should announce the reopening of institutions that have been de-notified. He suggested that if the Chief Minister resolves the issue of reopening closed institutions and also addresses the matter of taking a 10% commission for contracts in the department, he would be warmly welcomed in the Jaswan-Pragpur constituency.
During discussions with journalists in Jaswan, the BJP leader accused the defeated and frustrated Congress leaders of pressuring school principals and headmasters to invite them to annual events, making false promises to schoolchildren and collecting Rs 11,000 from them. He highlighted instances of corruption and the distress faced by the common people in Jaswan-Pragpur, stating that if the Chief Minister is able to provide a solution to these issues during his tour, it would be appreciated. Thakur further stated that while the Tourism Project is welcome, reopening the closed offices would provide significant relief to the general public. Responding to questions about the State-level Lohri fair, the BJP leader accused the government of trying to diminish it compared to village fairs. On the question of taking back a department from Minister Vikramaditya Singh and participating in the Pran Pratishtha program, Vikram Thakur mentioned that efforts are being made to discredit Vikramaditya Singh from the beginning, and taking back a department is part of that effort. He also responded to the query about Prabhu Ram’s darshan by Congress leaders, stating that they need permission from their national leaders because they consider themselves higher than Lord Ram.
