“Public Connect” Takes Center Stage in BJP’s crucial meet at Una

The Newz Radar

Una: A crucial gathering of top BJP leaders in Una on Monday revolved around strategic discussions for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The meeting witnessed active participation from in-charges of all four parliamentary constituencies, national office bearers, Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur, Union Minister Anurag Thakur, and Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami, among other prominent figures within the BJP.

While the diligence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his team places the party in a favorable position for the impending elections, the primary challenge lies in identifying a credible face to represent the BJP to reward the work of top party leaders.

During the meeting, party leaders discussed strategies to increase the vote share by at least 10% and enhance public participation in the party. The progress of assigned tasks in various areas was also assessed.

Although specific discussions about the candidature of party candidates did not take place during the meeting, inquiries with several party leaders suggested that many aspiring for the party ticket aim to build their political careers in the wave of the BJP.

However, concerns were raised regarding their public appeal, involvement in land deals, and their conduct with party workers and bureaucracy.

Upon approaching senior leaders for comments, most refrained from making public statements, citing party discipline that discourages the disclosure of internal meeting details to the media.

Nevertheless, it became evident from conversations that party leaders are confident in their strong position for the upcoming elections. Murmurs about some party members potentially exploiting the popularity and influence of the BJP for personal gains were heard.

The meeting, commencing early in the morning with activities like wall painting and reminiscing about senior party leaders, concluded late at night. Union Minister Anurag Thakur departed for Delhi, and Rajya Sabha MP Indu Goswami proceeded with her scheduled program in neighbouring states.
