President Droupadi Murmu reaches Shimla, will visit 4 famous Himachal temples

President Droupadi Murmu reached Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla on Saturday (May 4, 2024) on a five-day visit.
Himachal Pradesh Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and Health Minister Dhaniram Shandil received President Droupadi Murmu at the Kalyani Helipad at 10 am. From there, the President went to her official residence Rashtrapati Niwas at Chharabra, adjacent to the capital Shimla. She will stay there with some of her family members before returning to Delhi on May 8.
Visit to Catchment Area
President Murmu will visit Shimla Catchment Area near Kufri at 11.15 am on May 5. On May 6, she will fly to Gaggal Airport from Kalyani Helipad at 10 am and will offer prayers at Chamunda Mata Temple and Shiv Temple. She will then attend the convocation ceremony of the Central University in Dharamshala at 2.50 pm. She will take off for Shimla from Gaggal Airport at 4.05 pm.
Obeisance at famous temples
On May 7, President Murmu will visit Sankatmochan Temple near Shimla at 11.25 am and Taradevi Temple at 12.20 pm. Apart from taking a walk at the Ridge Ground and Mall Road at 5.50 pm, the President will also attend a cultural programme to be held at the Gaiety Theatre at 6.35 pm. She will reach Raj Bhavan in Shimla late in the evening at 7.30 pm where a dinner will be hosted by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla in the honour of the President. She will leave for Delhi from Kalyani Helipad on May 8 at 9.20 am.
