Pratibha Singh takes to social media first time after husband Virbhadra Singh’s demise

Indicates here willingness to contest Mandi Lok Sabha bypolls

Reaches out to people with promise that her doors are always open for needy

Shimla | TNR

Pratibha Singh, wife of six-time Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh, took to social media the first time after her husband’s death.

Keeping in mind the sentiments of the people of Mandi Lok Sabha constituency she indicated her willingness to contest the bypolls from this seat.

Congress party is also keen to field her as its candidate from this LS seat. Pratibha Singh said that to contest or not to contest from this seat was being deliberated upon.

BJP may find it tough

The bypolls for the Mandi Lok Sabha seat would become interesting if Pratibha Singh was fielded as Congress candidate.

BJP would find the going tough if this happens because both Virbhadra Singh and his wife Pratibha Singh have contested and won from this seat.

Doors my residence open for all

Pratibha Singh extended a helping hand for all needy people and said that the doors of her home, Holy Lodge, would remain open for all as it has been the tradition since the days of her husband Virbhadra Singh.

She expressed her gratitude for the love shown by people for her husband by turning up in large numbers despite the fear of Corona at his last rites.

Rampur witnessed a deluge

She said that the ground where the last rites were performed for her husband Virbhadra Singh turned out to be small in view of a large number of supporters turning up there from all parts of the state.

Gratitude expressed for CM

Pratibha Singh expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur for landing up at the Shimla hospital to meet her husband Virbhadra Singh and then landing up in Shimla and Rampur to pay his homage.

She said she would be eternally grateful to the Chief Minister.
