Pradeep Thakur took the charge of President of Himachal Pradesh Unregistered Government Employees Association following the successful elections held at the State University on Saturday. The election process, which took place from 12 PM to 3 PM, saw unanimous support for Pradeep Thakur .Representatives from various districts and departmental units participated in the association’s elections. Additionally, members of the association and employees from various departments also registered their presence during the election process.In his victory speech, Pradeep Thakur expressed his gratitude to the employees and pledged to work tirelessly to fulfill the trust placed in him by the workforce. He noted that Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhoo had already fulfilled the demand for pension restoration, which many considered impossible, and he assured that smaller requests from employees would also be addressed promptly.
Thakur emphasized that 99% of the state’s employees are aligned with the organization, and they will make efforts to include the remaining employees in their journey. He acknowledged several unresolved issues, such as the scale and financial matters, and promised to address them soon. Meetings will be scheduled to discuss and find solutions to all these concerns, taking into account the suggestions of employees and officials.Pradeep Thakur remarked that those questioning the association are merely trying to find their footing. He expressed his gratitude for the Chief Minister’s support and stated that he believes he has received recognition. He announced that the association would commence its work immediately under his leadership.
