CHAMBA: PP Singh, an HAS officer of the 2013 batch, has taken charge as the Assistant Commissioner of Chamba.
Prior to this, he had served as the ADM of Bharmour tribal area in Chamba district from 2018 to 2021. PP Singh, while holding the post of Chamba Assistant Commissioner, will also look after the heavy workload of the post of District Planning Officer as the above post is currently vacant.
Singh has earlier worked as Kangra District Tourism Officer as well as the Assistant Commissioner, Dharamshala Municipal Corporation. He said that while working as ADM in Bharmour, he gave priority to works related to public interest. He said he also managed the Manimahesh Yatra. It is noteworthy that Singh has always been in the headlines due to his good work. His interest in the field of writing has always given him a new identity. Till now he has written many popular songs.
Singh says that at present he is busy converting some poetry and is also working on writing a novel. While serving as Bharmour ADM, he said, the income of Manimahesh Trust had increased through Manimahesh Air Service. His achievements include improving the condition of the road to Bharmour Selfie Point and Kartik Swami Temple and developing the Brahmani site as a religious tourist destination.
