Police Seize Drugs in Two Separate Incidents in Mandi District

MANDI: – The Mandi district police seized a total of 21.68 grams of heroin/cocaine and 13.91 grams of marijuana in two distinct incidents today.
First Case:
At a checkpoint near Bradhibeer, officers from Sadar Police Station intercepted a car with license plate HP31 E 1210. The vehicle carried Akash (27) and Manju (50). Upon searching the car, authorities discovered 20.49 grams of cocaine/heroin. Both suspects, residing in Soohra Mohalla, Mandi district, have been arrested under the NDPS Act. After appearing in court today, they have been granted a 3-day police remand. The investigation is ongoing as the police continue to interrogate the accused.
Second Case:
A team from Sarkaghat Police Station intercepted a car near Government ITI with license plate CH01BK-6255. Inside were Mohit Kumar (30) and Dinesh Kumar (32). Upon searching the car, officers seized 13.90 grams of marijuana and 1.91 grams of cocaine/heroin. A case has been filed against the accused under the NDPS Act, and the investigation is currently underway.
The police action reflects a commitment to combatting the illegal drug trade in the Mandi district.
