PGI-trained Dr Arvind Sharma opens childcare centre at Palampur’s Lohna Chowk

Palampur town in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh has welcomed a significant addition to its healthcare landscape with the inauguration of Arvind Child Care Centre at Lohna Chowk.
Opened by Dr Arvind Sharma, who has done his MD in Paediatrics from the prestigious PGI-Chandigarh, the centre aims to elevate medical facilities for children in the region, catering to their specialised healthcare needs.
Drawing upon his extensive experience of 33 years in the government healthcare sector, Dr Arvind Sharma brings a wealth of expertise and commitment to paediatric care. Following his retirement from government service, Dr Sharma has embarked on this endeavour to continue serving the community through the Arvind Child Care Centre.
The centre’s primary focus is to provide comprehensive paediatric services, with the initial establishment of a children’s outpatient department. Dr Arvind Sharma saiid that the facility will expand to encompass indoor services, phototherapy for newborns with jaundice and laboratory facilities in the near future, ensuring a holistic approach to child healthcare.
Speaking about the operational hours, Dr Sharma outlined the centre’s schedule, with OPD services available from 9.30 am to 1.30 pm and 3.30 pm to 6.30 pm on all days except Sundays. On Sundays, the OPD will operate from 10.30 am to 1.30 pm.
