Pfizer and BioNTech have asked US regulators to approve emergency use of their COVID-19 vaccine for children aged five to 11. Pfizer announced in a tweet that it had formally filed its application with the US Food and Drug Administration over the same. FDA has set a date of October 26 for its independent expert panel to discuss the application.
