Cricket lovers who were disappointed after not being able to buy tickets online for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) matches at Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh now have a reason to cheer.

The ticket selling company, Paytm, will once again open online ticket sales for the matches scheduled on May 17 and 19 at the International Cricket Stadium, Dharamshala. Additionally, a ticket counter will be set up at the Himachal Pradesh Cricket Academy (HPCA) by Paytm, where cricket enthusiasts can buy tickets for the remaining stands and also get hard copies of the tickets booked online.

According to Avneesh Parmar, HPCA Secretary, the ticket sale counter will be opened by the company from Monday onwards and the company’s staff has already reached the location. The counter will enable cricket lovers to purchase tickets for the match, in addition to obtaining hard copies of the online tickets. The portal will also be opened by Paytm for online sales of the tickets. All those who have booked tickets online will mandatorily have to produce hard copies of the tickets to enter the stadium to watch the match.

Paytm will also begin work on decorating the stadium from May 11. During this period, LEDs will be installed around the cricket ground for advertisements, along with other related work. At present, tickets for IPL matches in Dharamshala are not being sold online, leaving many cricket enthusiasts disappointed. The opening of the counter and the booking portal next week will give them a sigh of relief.
