Parmar’s legacy is profound; when he left office, he had only 500 rupees in his account, owned just three safari suits, and even his house was in his mother’s name. His humility and integrity are remembered fondly, making this occasion a fitting tribute to his contributions.
The NSS unit, known for its commitment to social work and public participation in noble causes, embraced the opportunity to promote patriotism and national pride among the students and local community. The rally began with an oath-taking ceremony, where NSS volunteers pledged their dedication to the nation and its values.
The participants, full of enthusiasm, chanted slogans such as “Tiranga Hamari Shaan Hai, Bharat Ki Pehchaan Hai” (The Tricolor is Our Pride, India’s Identity), “Har Ghar Tiranga, Har Man Tiranga” (Every Home, Every Heart with the Tricolor), and “Ghar Ghar Mein Lehraaye Tiranga” (Let’s Hoist the Tricolor in Every Home), along with the national slogan “Vande Mataram.”
The rally was flagged off from the college campus by the esteemed Principal, Dr. Premraj Bhardwaj, who commended the efforts of the NSS unit and the volunteers.
He highlighted the importance of patriotism and encouraged the participants to continue upholding the spirit of the nation. The rally proceeded through Banog and Yashwant Vihar, spreading awareness about the significance of the Tricolor on Independence Day and urging local residents to hoist the national flag at their homes.
The campaign was led by NSS Program Officer Dr. Pankaj Chandak and Prof. Lakshita, with active participation from the Vice-Principal, Dr. Uttama Pandey, and other faculty members.
