The ‘State-Level Holi Mahotsav’ is all set to be organised at Palampur in Himachal Pradesh’s Kangra district from March 22 to 25, promising a jubilant celebration of colours and culture.
To curate the four cultural evenings slated during the festival, artistes will have to undergo a rigorous selection process via auditions.
Netra Meti, Palampur SDM and chairperson of the State-Level Holi Mahotsav Committee, emphasised the committee’s commitment to providing ample opportunities for folk artistes across the state. Meti underscored the importance of ensuring deserving artistes received an opportunity to showcase their talent throughout the festival’s cultural evenings.
“In order to guarantee quality performance across all evenings, we have opted to select artistes through auditions,” said Meti.
Scheduled for March 16 from 10 am to 4 pm, the auditions will take place at the office of the Assistant Public Relations Officer in Palampur. A three-member committee comprising experts in songs and music has been formed to oversee the selection process. “Individuals passionate about enriching our cultural evenings are encouraged to participate in the auditions,” said Meti.
