Worried about the lack of cleanliness in your area in Himachal’s Palampur town? Residents would not have to run from pillar to post and visit the municipal office concerned. Palampur Municipal Corporation has issued a helpline number with the help of which it hopes to make garbage clearance in the town more effective.
The task of ensuring cleanliness in all 15 wards of the town has been outsourced to an agency and in case of any shortcomings, residents can seek help through helpline number 7696672040.
As a pilot project, the helpline would be operated from 10 am to 5 pm for the benefit of the residents. In case this proves to be a success then the timing may be increased phase-wise.
Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dr Ashish Sharma said that people in the town would get relief from garbage removal. He urged the people to segregate the wet and dry garbage to make the job easier for the sanitation staff.
