Himachal Pradesh Public Works Minister marked his 37th birthday on Thursday (October 17, 2024) with a message of unity and development, urging fellow politicians to rise above party politics for the greater good of the state.
The celebrations were held at Vikramaditya’s family residence Holy Lodge, where a large gathering of supporters, Congress workers and leaders came to extend their wishes to him.
Speaking to journalists, Vikramaditya emphasised his unwavering commitment to the development of Himachal Pradesh. “It is our collective responsibility to ensure equal development in every part of the state,” he said. “We will continue to work with full strength to fulfill the duties entrusted to me as a minister, ensuring progress in every corner of Himachal.”

Vikramaditya also hinted at a major financial boost from the central government, announcing that a significant grant would be confirmed later in the day. “We have already received Rs 300 crore and an additional Rs 25 crore is expected soon. This support will further our efforts to develop the state,” he added.
Vikramaditya stressed the importance of keeping Himachal’s interests at the forefront while seeking assistance from the Centre. He drew parallels to the time when former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had extended a Rs 500 crore grant to the then government led by his father, former Chief Minister late Virbhadra Singh. “We must rise above party lines and continue the path shown by Virbhadra Singh for the betterment of Himachal,” he remarked.
