Himachal’s Mandi police team apprehended duo

Mandi: Chiranjee Lal, son of Prem Singh, allegedly a notorious drug trafficker hailing from Gail village in the Urala region of Mandi district, Himachal Pradesh, was arrested by Mandi police on Saturday night.
Lal, 29, was captured alongside his collaborator Rajmal, son of Buddhi Ram, 49, from Sarwala village in the Gavali area of Mandi district. Led by head constable Bhanu Pratap on January 27, 2024, the Mandi police team, set up a checkpoint in the Khaliyar area of Mandi.
Around 10 pm, the team intercepted a white car bearing registration number HP76-2450. Inside the vehicle, the two occupants were found in possession of 288 grams of heroin which was seized. Charges have been formally lodged under sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act, and the case was officially registered.
Both apprehended individuals are scheduled to appear in court as the investigation unfolds.
