Newly elected Himachal MLA’s car attacked by miscreants in Punjab’s Hoshiarpur

Newly elected Congress MLA from Kutlehar Vivek Sharma narrowly escaped an attack by bike-riding miscreants who targeted his car near Hoshiarpur in Punjab.
The attackers, armed with an iron rod, broke the rear glass of the MLA’s car before fleeing the scene. According to reports, Vivek Sharma was returning home from Jalandhar when two youths on a bike started chasing his vehicle after it left Hoshiarpur city.
The assailants positioned their bike in front of the car, forcing it to stop. One of the youths then dismounted and struck the rear windshield of the car with an iron rod, shattering the glass. Despite the attack, the MLA remained unharmed.
Immediately after the incident, Vivek Sharma’s driver attempted to chase down the miscreants, pursuing them for a considerable distance. However, the attackers managed to escape by evading the vehicle.

Following the attack, Vivek Sharma lodged a formal complaint with the Hoshiarpur police. Acting swiftly, the police registered a case based on the MLA’s complaint and launched a search operation to apprehend the culprits.
Vivek Sharma recounted the harrowing experience, stating that the attack occurred unexpectedly as he was returning home. He expressed relief at having escaped unscathed and confirmed that a complaint had been filed with the police, who are investigating the case.
