Hamirpur: Amarjeet Singh, the newly appointed Deputy Commissioner, has swiftly moved to bolster public relations in Chief Minister Sukhu’s home district of Hamirpur. In a proactive approach, Singh, an IAS officer, has commenced engaging with groups actively involved in social activities.
In a notable move, Singh demonstrated his commitment by contributing ₹25,000 to the Red Cross Society of Hamirpur, solidifying his role as the society’s patron. Beyond financial support, he facilitated the acquisition of an ambulance for the Bijhdi-Diyodsidh area through collaboration with the Health Department.
The official handover of the ambulance to Chief Medical Officer Dr. R.K. Agnihotri took place this Friday. Singh highlighted the identification of ambulance shortages during the preparations for the Chaitra Month Fair in Diyodsidh. The initiative aims to provide daily healthcare services to the numerous devotees visiting the Baba Balak Nath Temple.
Expressing his dedication, Singh affirmed his commitment to expanding the society’s reach, ensuring effective measures to aid the financially vulnerable and needy through the Red Cross Society in Hamirpur.
Deputy Commissioner Amarjeet Singh shared that his mother’s advice motivated him to utilize entrusted savings for a noble cause. Joining him in the endeavor, SP Hamirpur Padam Chand and CMO R.K. Mahajan have also committed to becoming patrons of the Red Cross Society.
