Prof HK Chaudhary inaugurates basic facilities at Agriculture Science Centre Sundernagar

CSK Himachal Pradesh Agriculture University Vice Chancellor Prof H K Chaudhary on Friday inaugurated basic facilities at Agriculture Science Centre Sundernagar.
After inaugurating the residential premises, poultry unit, agri tech information centre and the main gate Prof Chaudhary interacted with progressive farmers and others at the farmers’ symposium.
Prof Chaudhary said that to make agriculture more profitable it was essential to promote modern agri tech. To encourage youths in rural areas to opt for agriculture programmes related to entrepreneurship should be promoted, he said while highlighting the importance of conserving traditional crops. He assured all possible help to the farmers from the university.
Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Atari, director Dr Parvender Sheron, who was special guest at the function, appreciated the efforts of the Agriculture Science Centre and assured all possible help.
Agriculture Science Centre programme coordinator Dr Pankaj Sood highlighted programmes being run by the centre for the welfare of the farmers.
