Sharjah: Mumbai Indians defeated Rajasthan Royals by 8 wickets at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium on Tuesday. Ishan Kishan top-scored for MI with 50*(25), and Nathan Coulter-Nile and Jimmy Neesham registered figures of 4-0-14-4 and 4-0-12-3 respectively. Rajasthan Royals are now on the seventh position on the points table with 10 points.
The win gave a boost to the net run rate of MI and they require a win over SRH in the last game to qualify for the playoffs.

MI captain Rohit Sharma has said it’s a good thing that they’re playing against SRH after KKR plays their last league game as it’d give them a clear idea about how to reach the playoffs. MI and KKR both have 12 points from 13 games but the latter are placed fourth in the points table due to superior NRR.
