Mandi’s Dr Kanica Kaushal wins prestigious International Inspirational Award for Best Woman Performer in Health

MANDI: Dr Kanica Kaushal from Mandi has made her hometown and Himachal Pradesh proud by winning the prestigious fifth International Inspirational Award-2024 for the Best Woman Performer in Health and Wellness.
The GISR Foundation conferred the honour upon Dr Kaushal after a fiercely competitive selection process. International inspiration award for women is an initiative by GSIR Foundation that recognises and acknowledges invincible potential of women change-makers.
Dr Kanica Kaushal, the daughter of Naveen Kaushal, a retired Chief Engineer from the State Electricity Board, and Sunita Kaushal, a retiree from the State Bank of India, hails from Moti Bazaar in Mandi. The award has brought immense joy to her family.
Dr Kanica’s academic journey includes MBBS from Tanda Medical College and an MD from IGMC, Shimla. She has served in various esteemed medical institutions, including AIIMS-Jodhpur, and PGI-Chandigarh, and is currently an Assistant Professor at the Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences in New Delhi. To date, she has published 38 papers in international journals.
The award ceremony will take place on July 27 in New Delhi where Dr Kanika will be honored for her outstanding contributions to health and wellness.
