Mandi – Rashmi Sharma, a native of Nabahi village in Sarkaghat sub-division, Mandi, has achieved a significant milestone as she completed one and a half years of rigorous training at the Police Training Center in Daroh, earning the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Graduating alongside her colleagues Mayank Sharma and Umeshwar Rana on December 27, Rashmi’s accomplishment was celebrated during the passing-out parade.
Rashmi’s parents, Dev Raj Bhardwaj and Meenakshi Sharma, both retired from distinguished professions, proudly adorned stars on their daughter’s shoulders during the ceremony. The event was graced by Rashmi’s husband, Surya Sharma, and other family members.
At the convocation, Deputy Inspector General of Police Vimal Gupta, Principal of the Daroh Police Training Centre, honored Rashmi with the prestigious Indoor Best title. Married to Surya Sharma, an Additional Superintending Engineer in the Electricity Department in Una, Rashmi is also a mother to a 6-year-old son.
Before joining the police force, Rashmi achieved success in her first attempt after working in a private company. Appointed as a probationer in Mandi, she is expected to serve the district for the next 6 months. Rashmi’s accomplishment has brought immense joy to her family and well-wishers, marking a proud moment for Mandi.
