Mandi: Anmol, hailing from serene Chukku Tanda village of gram panchayat Pounta in Sarkaghat sub-division in Mandi district, has emerged as the topper in the Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) exam, the results of which was declared on Wednesday (March 6, 2024).
Anmol’s exceptional achievement is not only a testament to his dedication and hard work, but also a reflection of his family’s illustrious legacy in public service. Anmol’s father Krishan Chand was also a distinguished HAS officer who served with utmost diligence and commitment and retired in August 2023 as Regional Transport Officer, Mandi.
Complementing his father’s exemplary service, Anmol’s mother Usha Devi holds a pivotal role as a member of the zila parishad, representing the Balhwarda district council ward.
Anmol’s academic journey commenced at Kendriya Vidyalaya, Mandi, where he laid the foundation for his future endeavours. Pursuing his passion for engineering, he furthered his education at NIT-Hamirpur, specialising in civil engineering. He is currently pursuing M.Tech from IIT-Delhi.
At present, Anmol serves as the Block Development Officer (BDO) in Tutu block of Shimla district. Reflecting on his aspirations, Anmol shared that his decision to pursue a career in administrative services was deeply influenced by his father’s noble example.
Anmol accredits his remarkable achievement to the unwavering support and guidance of his parents, emphasising his resolve to prioritise public service while upholding the responsibilities of an administrative officer. With a fervent dedication to serving society, Anmol stands poised to make a meaningful and enduring impact in the realm of public administration.
