Mandi Sardar Patel University pro-VC, faculty members participate in ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ programme at Raj Bhavan

MANDI: Prof Anupama Singh, Pro Vice-Chancellor at Sardar Patel University in Mandi, participated in a workshop organised under the ‘Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of the Youth’ initiative at Raj Bhavan in Shimla along with all faculty members of the university.

Professor Anupama explained that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had inaugurated the programme via video-conference at 10.30 am. The aim of the programme, she said, was to unite the youth for building a developed India.
‘Viksit Bharat@2047: Voice of the Youth’ is the vision of the Indian government, targeting to make India a developed nation by 2047, marking 100 years of Independence.

“This vision includes aspects such as economic development, social progress, environmental sustainability and good governance. The Prime Minister has appealed to all young individuals to participate in this initiative,” she said.

Professor Anupama shared that the Prime Minister has addressed Vice-Chancellors of universities, heads of institutions, educators and faculty members across the country in workshops organised in Raj Bhavans under the programme. She has actively participated in five such workshops with the goal of involving the youth actively in shaping national plans and determining priorities and goals.

According to her, the experiences and ideas gained from these workshops aligned with the objective of fulfilling the dream of a developed India and would be shared with the Prime Minister’s Office.
