Price hiked by Rs 15 per cylinder

Gas companies which did not increase price of LPG cylinder on October 1, have increased the price just six days after the initial decision. This has come as a jolt for the common man who will now have to pay Rs 15 more for domestic gas cylinders.This price hike has come at a time when people are all set to welcome the festive season.
After the price hike on Wednesday, the price of domestic gas cylinders crossed the Rs 1000 mark for the first time in the state. Including home delivery, a LPG cylinder will cost around Rs 1000.75. A subsidy of just Rs 17 will now be deposited in the bank accounts of customers.On the other hand, the price of commercial gas cylinder ha s come down by Rs 2. It will now be available for Rs 1906.
The price of a domestic gas cylinder had increased by Rs 25 every month from July to September. During the same period, commercial gas cylinders became costlier by Rs 75. On October 1, gas companies had increased the price of commercial gas by Rs 36.
