Lok Sabha Elections: BJP says Congress govt Failed to Provide Jobs in 14 Months

The Newz Radar

Dharamshala:The Bharatiya Janata Party’s state president, Dr. Rajeev Bindal, addressing the press, stated that nearly 14 months have passed since the formation of the current Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, but the decisions taken by the government are burdening the people heavily.

He criticized the government for shutting down more than 1000 institutions instead of moving forward, which has been going on for years. In approximately 14 months, the current government has closed down about 1400 institutions.

Dr. Rajeev Bindal said that the Congress government has caused distress to the people by shutting down offices such as SDM offices, tehsils, primary health centers, and patwari circles where doctors, staff, and employees were working.

Today, hundreds of people stand in lines for months without getting their work done. He questioned the reasons behind the closure of such institutions which were opened based on public demand.

He said that by closing down institutions opened with the approval of the finance department and the cabinet, the current government has deceived the people of Himachal Pradesh and committed injustice against them.

The government has yet to answer why these institutions were closed down. Dr. Rajeev Bindal stated that in the 14-month tenure, the current government has not provided any permanent jobs.

During this period, not a single professor, teacher, doctor, or employee has been appointed. More than 12,000 people have been laid off. There is ongoing agitation in every district of Himachal Pradesh. However, the state government remains indifferent.

Employees are forced to protest even in freezing cold weather, sitting with wet blankets in the snow. Dr. Bindal alleged that the current government has taken actions against the people of Himachal Pradesh, laying off outsourced employees from jobs.

He highlighted the broken promises of the government, which had claimed before coming to power that 67,000 jobs were vacant in Himachal Pradesh and after coming to power, they would provide 33,000 more jobs, totaling 100,000 jobs in the first cabinet.

However, in the 14-month tenure, the government not only failed to fulfill any guarantees but also did not take any steps in this direction. They are only spending time blaming the Bharatiya Janata Party.

He accused the Congress government of wasting 14 months of the people of Himachal Pradesh and pushing the state backwards instead of moving it forward.
